Danish design bij Kai Kristiansen. FM is short for Feldballes Møbelfabrik that had the fortune to have successful designer Kai Kristiansen on their side in the 1950s and 1960s. Kai Kristiansens most successful design for FM was the FM Reolsystem Wall Unit from 1957. Proved to be a huge success with sales throughout Europe and the US. The modular shelving unit was made in both teak and rosewood and came in a variety of add-on shapes and sizes to suit ones need. This particular Reolsystem has 2 metal uprights and 5 shelves, with one of those slightly oversized. The size of this big shelve is width 85cm and depth 40cm.
